Chunky ankle boots with Charlie Gowans-Eglinton

For the most part, I’m happy to unpack my winter wardrobe as the weather turns. I love cosy jumpers and the chance to wear layers again. But swapping my chunky summer sandals for winter boots – that’s more of an adjustment, as suddenly hem lengths and silhouettes all need reconsidering. 

So I thought we’d do it together this year. I’ve chosen a pair of chunky boots that I know I’ll wear on repeat – a comfy, chic new spin on a classic Chelsea boot with a fashionably clompy sole. Black boots are always my pick as I know I’ll get the most wear out of them, but contrasting flashes of khaki make these much more fun than the average. Here’s how I’ll be wearing them…
